Books R Me
My career as an author
I have 13 published books so far. I qualify that statement
with "published," because I have also written a few that have not been
published (yet) including a book on
thinking your way to beauty, a mystery about a college football booster club
behaving badly and a kids series about a fifth grader named London who
accompanies her travel writer mother on her many adventures.
I plan to keep on writing books. My most recent
published
tomes are God Doesn't Have Bad Hair Days, a book about spiritual
principles
that anyone can use to improve their life (it debuts December 2005) and You
Know You're in Kansas When, a book with 101 quintessential Kansas
things such
as "You know you're in Kansas when cows outnumber people three to one" and "You know you're in Kansas when you've seen
people wear bib overalls to funerals and weddings." It is slated to
appear in
bookstores November 2005.
And about the same time, the updated version of Girlfriends
Getaways Guide (retitled Girlfriends Getaways, I believe, since the author of
Girlfriend Guide to Pregnancy threatened to sue) should hit the book stories.
Other books I'm pretty proud of are Art and Soul, (it's about creativity and spirituality), Living Big (about how one ordinary person
can make a difference) and Jumpstart
your Metabolism (a book that at last count had sold more than 60,000
copies). Over the last 10 years, my books have landed me on the
Gayle King Show, on Howard Stern, Crook and Chase, the Home and Family Show,
America's Talking and on hundreds of radio stations.
I have also been featured in Family Circle, Self, Woman's World,First for Women, Mademoiselle and Aspire magazine.
I have an extensive mailing list that stretches from Perth, Australia to
Salzburg, Austria and I speak about my work in workshops all over
the country. If you are interested in joining my mailing list, click
